Married to his wife, Rhea, for 27 years.
Tim grew up on a farm north of Whigham, GA and graduated from Whigham HS and the Georgia Institute of Technology. After graduation, he spent a career with the Central Intelligence Agency as an operations officer, serving multiple overseas tours in Latin America, Asia, and Europe, and retired after 27 years in 2017. Tim and his family moved to Thomasville in 2017 to be back close to his parents, who still live on the farm north of Whigham, and he spent the next five years supporting various Agency programs full-time as a contractor. Married with three children, Tim met his wife Sonja in Vienna Austria where she was working at the US Embassy as a local hire employee. She currently works as an Assistant Teacher at Brookwood School. Daughter Emily (21) was born in Miami and is now in her junior year at the University of West GA. Son David (18) was born in Bangkok, Thailand and is in his freshman year at Thomas University. Son Samuel (16) was born in Chiang Mai Thailand and is a junior at Brookwood. Tim stepped back from full-time work in 2022 to spend more time engaging in other activities closer to home.
